Where Darkness Meets Adventure

The Slayers

The Slayers

Humanity refused to die quietly. The Slayers are the answer of the human world to the eternal night: technology, discipline and faith, pressed into weapons.

The Pride of Humankind

Humanity sees itself as the god’s new creature — and the Slayers carry that pride like armor. They are the group formed by human intelligence and technology to stand against the vampires, who envy the god’s strength and built a world of their own to rival it. Where a vampire draws power from blood and the dark, a Slayer draws power from craft: better weapons, stronger defenses, and the stubborn certainty of pure blood.

An individual Slayer may be weak. That is not a flaw; it is the point. Slayers are dangerous in the way an army is dangerous — when blades, guns, enchanters and healers stand together, each profession covering the weaknesses of the next.

The Quarantine and E.V.E

When the tomb of Lilith was opened and the sky over Helea went dark, the human world did not run. It closed the borders, cut the roads, and sent its military into the sealed province to cleanse it of vampires. The heart of that effort is E.V.E, the core command of the Slayer army. Its temporary command center stands in the tutorial zone outside Eslanian City, where every new Slayer is dispatched, briefed and armed before being sent out to face the dark.

E.V.E’s commanders are honest about the situation: they cannot fully protect even their own training grounds, and reinforcements that arrive are sometimes replacements, not help.

The Last Bastion: Eslanian

Eslanian City is the Slayer foothold in Helea. It was an industrial capital before the war — the machine heart that turned iron, coal and oil into weapons for the soldiers — and it has paid the price for that importance. The city keeps three fortified guild bases: the Army guild, the Cleric guild and the Knight guild. Each one houses medics, instructors and merchants, and all three are bound together by an underground waterway that also carries the war itself: the Payarch Tunnel links the waterways to Limbo Dungeon, opening the path for Slayers to infiltrate Castle Limbo.

Eslanian also guards the two relics of the faith: the Medal of Romell at the Raohm Holy Place, and the holy garment of the Temelie sacred ground. Access to both is restricted to fixed hours, and both are defended with the same desperate discipline — because if the vampires steal either relic, the punishment falls on the entire race.

The Ways of War

  • Blade and Gun: Slayer soldiers train with swords, blades, rifles and handguns, from close combat to long-range cover.
  • Enchant: Slayer magic tempers metal itself, raising the power of weapons and armor for the war.
  • Healing: Slayer priests keep the line standing, closing wounds and preserving the strength of the group.
  • Silver: Slayers arm themselves with silver weaponry, a bane to vampire flesh that cuts down even the undead’s deepest reserves.

Why They Fight

The Slayers fight to stop the destruction of the human race — and to keep the Blood Bibles out of the hands of the masters. If the vampires ever gather the thirteen, the night will have no end. The war for the bibles is therefore a human war as much as a racial one, and the Slayer banners still fly over the Holyland of Adam every week.
