DarkEden v2 Hotkeys Guide

Use this guide to find the default shortcuts for windows, skills, chat, pets, and mouse actions.

Before You Start

Hotkeys can be remapped in Options. The lists below describe the default shortcuts; your saved settings may differ.

Enter to chat: Letter shortcuts without Ctrl work only when this option is enabled. When it is disabled, letters go to chat instead. Ctrl + letter also works for shortcuts assigned to a plain letter. This does not mean that every shortcut assigned with Ctrl also works without it.

Interface and Character Windows

  • Esc Open the game menu or close Options; in dialogs, cancel or close.
  • Tab Inventory.
  • Ctrl + Tab Equipment / Gear.
  • S / Ctrl + S Skill Window.
  • I / Ctrl + I Character Information.
  • K / Ctrl + K Skill Information.
  • Ctrl + M Minimap / World Map. M alone applies when it is the configured shortcut and Enter to chat is enabled.
  • P / Ctrl + P Party.
  • X / Ctrl + X Mark.
  • H / Ctrl + H Help.
  • R / Ctrl + R Grade / Rank Information.
  • Q / Ctrl + Q Quest.
  • B / Ctrl + B Mailbox.

Quick Items and Skills

  • F1–F12: Quick-item / skill slots. Check your slot assignments to see which item or skill each key uses.
  • ~ / Ctrl + ~: Quick Item Slot Window.

Chat and Communication

The Enter to chat rule also applies to the plain-letter shortcuts below.

  • E / Ctrl + E Extended Chat.
  • C / Ctrl + C Normal Chat.
  • G / Ctrl + G Guild Chat.
  • Z / Ctrl + Z Zone Chat.
  • W / Ctrl + W Whisper.
  • A / Ctrl + A Party Chat.
  • D / Ctrl + D Union Chat.

Pets

  • Alt + Space: Pet Information.
  • Ctrl + Space: Summon Pet.

Pet shortcuts do not replace the requirements for owning or using a pet. Read the Pet System Guide for more information.

Fixed Shortcuts

These controls are handled separately from the remappable shortcut list.

  • Scroll Lock: Take a screenshot. Screenshots are saved in the ScreenShot folder.
  • Ctrl + F: Toggle the FPS display.
  • Ctrl + U: Open the Costume / Cosmetic Inventory.
  • Ctrl + Shift + N: Switch item-name display mode.
  • Hold Caps Lock: Lock Mode.

Mouse Controls and Modifiers

  • Left Ctrl + click on the ground: Prevent movement and retain the associated selection.
  • Left Shift + left-click or right-click: Force an attack or special action, depending on the action and target.
  • Hold Right Ctrl while clicking: Request-information mode.
  • Hold Alt: Show item names.
  • Alt + left-click: Trade shortcut.
  • Alt + right-click: Party shortcut.
  • Middle Mouse: Skill Window.
  • Mouse Wheel: Change the page / skill wheel, depending on the active interface.
  • Shift + right-click a stackable item: Separate one unit from the stack.

Dialogs and Special Screens

Dialogs

  • Esc: Cancel or close.
  • Enter: Confirm.
  • Arrow keys / Tab: Navigate.
  • Backspace / Delete: Edit text in editable fields.

Cinematics

Press Esc, Enter, or Space to skip.

Disconnect Screen

Press Esc, Enter, Alt, Tab, or Space to continue from the disconnect screen.

If a Shortcut Does Not Work

  • Check your current shortcut assignment in Options.
  • For a plain-letter shortcut, check whether Enter to chat is enabled. You can also use Ctrl + letter for a shortcut assigned to that plain letter.
  • Check which window or dialog currently has focus. Dialog controls can take priority over gameplay shortcuts.
  • Distinguish Left Ctrl from Right Ctrl, and holding a key from toggling it.
