Pet System Guide

Pet System Guide

Pets fight beside you, loot for you and grow up to level 50. There are two families: the common wolfdogs — trainable by any race — and the exclusive race pets: Centervo, Stirge and Pixie.

Common Pets (Wolfdogs)

Junior wolfarches are the wild young of the wolfarch. They are not aggressive, and if you attack them first they will die or run away. To make one your own, you have to tame it into a wolfdog.

Where to find junior wolfarches: Eslanian (Southeast, Northeast), Castle Limbo (Southeast, Northeast), Drobeta (Southeast, Northeast), Mt. Rodin (Southeast, Northeast), Perona (Southeast, Northeast), Lake Timor (Southeast, Northeast) and the center of the Holyland of Adam.

Taming and Feeding

  1. Buy bait at regular shops. Bait and pet food are the same items.
  2. Use the item on a junior wolfarch. It will either follow you (taming success) or run away (failure) — the chance depends on the item used.
  3. On success, register the leash in your inventory and click it to call your pet.
  4. Right-click the food item to feed your pet. New food replaces the old one.

Feeding time runs in real time even while you are logged out or the pet is not summoned. If the food runs out, the pet dies. A dead pet cannot be summoned — only a Revival Set can bring it back, and the longer it has been dead, the lower the chance. After one week, a dead pet can never be resurrected.

Growth and Attributes

  • Pets can grow up to level 50. They gain experience while summoned and every time they loot an item from a monster you kill — more hunting means faster growth.
  • Pets cannot be attacked by other users or monsters.
  • At level 10, the pet can receive a unique attribute with a Red Drop. The attribute is random, cannot be reverted, but a failed attempt can be retried. The enchant must be done before level 11 — otherwise the pet cannot gain further experience.
  • Attributes increase with each level. Maximum values:

The Second Ability

From level 11 on, every level-up gives your pet a chance to unlock its second ability. Press the star button in the pet window — success or failure is decided by probability. If it fails, you can try again on the next level. If it keeps failing until level 50, the ability is lost forever.

With the second ability, the pet can loot monster heads (soul stones) as well as regular items — and the extra experience makes it level faster.

The Second Enchant (Level 49)

At level 49 the pet can receive a second enchant with a Red Bird. Unlike the level 10 enchant, this adds one random option from the pool of regular item options, and it does not increase with level. It must be attempted before the pet reaches level 50 — above 50 it is no longer possible.

When the pet becomes a master, you receive its first function, second function, attributes and options — and it eats food more slowly.

Race Pets

Race pets are exclusive: each race can only raise its own. They attack or absorb souls in addition to looting, so they bring a little extra to every hunt. Only one enchant per level is possible with a Red Drop.
