DarkEden is a horror-themed MMORPG centered on the conflict between Slayers, Vampires, and Ousters. You develop your character, fight monsters, gather equipment, and take part in a world shaped by the war between the three races.

Each race has its own skills, equipment, and approach to combat.

On this website, DarkEden v2 refers to the classic three-race game played on CaelumNex. Check Server Info and current announcements before relying on instructions written for another server or version.

DarkEden takes place in Helea, a land shaped by the conflict between humans, vampires, and Ousters. The Blood Bibles and the Holyland of Adam are central to that conflict.

The three playable races are Slayers, Vampires, and Ousters. Your race affects the equipment you use, the skills available to you, and how you develop your character.

Slayers combine weapons, technology, healing, and enchantment. Vampires use blood-related powers and builds shaped by their stats and skills. Ousters combine physical combat with elemental abilities.

The five classic Slayer specializations are Blader, Sworder, Gunner, Healer, and Enchanter.

Bladers and Sworders focus on close-range weapons. Gunners use ranged weapons. Healers focus on healing, while Enchanters use enchantment and support abilities. Choose a specialization based on the role you enjoy.

Slayer development includes skill domains and the use of abilities associated with their specialization. Check your domain and skill information as you train. A route intended for a different specialization may not suit the skills you are developing.

Vampire powers are closely tied to blood, and some abilities use health. Read the information for the skills you use and watch your health during combat. Understanding ability costs and recovery options is part of learning the race.

Ousters develop through levels and skill choices, with physical and elemental options shaping their build. Review the requirements of your chosen abilities as you progress. Avoid choosing a build only because another player describes it as the fastest to level.

STR, DEX, and INT mean Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. Their importance depends on your race, skills, and equipment. There is no single stat distribution that suits every character. Check your character and skill information before following a build recommendation.

Yes. The races use different equipment and weapon families. Check the requirements of an item before planning to equip it on your character.

Start with Tab for Inventory, Ctrl + Tab for Equipment, Ctrl + S for the Skill Window, Ctrl + I for Character Information, Ctrl + K for Skill Information, Ctrl + M for the map, and Ctrl + Q for Quests. F1–F12 operate quick-item or skill slots.

Hotkeys can be remapped in Options. Letter shortcuts without Ctrl work only when Enter to chat is enabled; otherwise, letters go to chat. Map access follows your configured shortcut.
